Athletic Trainer
“I am Rachel Pryor the head athletic trainer at BEHS. I graduated from Texas State University and moved to Washington in 2019. I’ve been a part of the Tiger family since then! Athletic training is something I fell in love with when I was in high school in my sports medicine program. Since becoming certified I have enjoyed growing and loving my profession more and more every year. As an athletic trainer I am able to prevent injury, evaluate injuries, clinically diagnose, refer to the proper medical professionals, concussion management, treatments and rehabilitation for injuries, nutrition guidance and so much more. I always encouraged our athletes to come check in before something becomes an injury! My main goal is to keep our athletes on the field/court as much as possible. Please always reach out if you ever need anything, I’m here to support you and your athletes. Go Tigers!”
“Sports medicine at BEHS is a way for our students to get an on the field training with the athletic trainer. The team is small but focuses on building strong communication and medical skills. The students use their knowledge to tape athletes, first aid management, help ensure proper hydration is achieved, emergency procedure training and so much more behind the scenes. No matter if they are on the sidelines at games or in the athletic training room after school, they are a HUGE part of the sports medicine programs success!”
